Abstract
The research investigated the impact of entrepreneur's characteristics on business performance. It was a cross-sectional study carried out among entrepreneurs of SMEs in Nigeria, located in Ede, Nigeria. Respondents were selected using convenience sampling technique. The sample size of 400 respondents was selected for the study and descriptive statistics such as frequencies and percentages were adopted for data analysis. The hypotheses formulated were tested using chi-square at 0.05 level of significance. The result of the study revealed that entrepreneur's characteristics such as innovativeness, experiences, orientation as well as risk taking propensity have significant impact on productivity.
