The Business Management Journals/Conferences was birth on the 19th day of August, 2021 during the inaugural Departmental Board convened by Dr. Ipuele Achoda Ochugudu who was appointed as the new HOD of the Department on the 11th of April, 2021. The meeting was held to consider the issue of opening up the research space for members of the Department to publish scholarly articles in order to improve the visibility of the Department in particular and Benue State University in general in terms of research output. The Board after a comprehensive deliberation on the issue resolved that the Department should float 2 journals and a conference to be titled

The two journals were to be Chaired by the Head of Department, Dr Ipuele Achoda Ochugudu who initiated them. All professors in the Department were also drafted to constitute the consulting editors with Dr. Ikyanyon Darius nominated to serve as the interim Secretary of the Journals and Dr. Faajir Avenenge as the Chairman of Local Organising Committee of the Conference. The Chairman and the Secretaries were mandated to be the signatories to the account and Zenith Bank Plc was further selected as the Banker to both the journals and the conference. The Board further resolved that the two journals and the conference shall be published/held bi-annually in June and December of every year
