FAMILY PLANNING PRACTICES AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN NIGERIA. A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW



Abstract

growth. Socioeconomic factors such as education, occupation, socio-economic

status, age, and number of children significantly affect family planning practices.

Empowering women to control their fertility enhances economic growth through

increased labor market participation and human capital development. The paper

concludes that family planning is crucial for development and recommends a

context-specific approach that considers Nigeria's diverse cultural, economic, and

environmental landscapes.
