Use of Social Media in Event Planning and Promotion among Corporate Organisations in Abuja, Nigeria



Abstract

This study investigated the use of social media in event planning and promotion among corporate organizations in Abuja, Nigeria. Guided by the Technological Determinism Theory, the research adopted a survey design with a sample size of 100 respondents. Findings revealed that platforms such as Facebook and WhatsApp are widely utilized to enhance event visibility, drive ticket sales, and create engaging and unique promotional content. The study concluded that social media platforms have become indispensable tools for corporate event planning and promotion. It recommended sustained and strategic use of social media to maximize effectiveness in event organization and audience engagement.
