JUPEB / FOUNDATION SCHOOL: APPLY FOR ADMISSION INTO THE ONE-YEAR JUPEB PROGRAMME (2026 STARTS)
The Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) is a national examination body approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria, established by a consortium of ten (10) partner universities (UNILAG, UNILORIN, UNIBEN, UNIPORT, UNIUVO, UNN, FUTO, OAU, RUN, FUNAAB). The JUPEB programme is a university-based initiative established to regularize the standard of students admitted into 200 Level.
Candidates are required to run the programme for one (1) year in any JUPEB-approved university. JUPEB has the responsibility of conducting common and standard examinations for candidates in three (3) subjects at the end of the study programme. There are 43 different subject combinations from which candidates can choose a track suitable for their intended course covering Arts, Law, Engineering, Science, Social, and Management Sciences.

Successful candidates gain Direct Entry admission into 200 Level at Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi (MOAUM) and other JUPEB-affiliated universities. There are over 85 affiliate universities in Nigeria, including Federal, State, and Private institutions.

Entry Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) O'Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two (2) sittings.
- No UTME / JAMB score required.

Method of Application
Applications are available exclusively online. Interested candidates should follow these steps:
- Visit the official website at www.bsum.edu.ng and click on "Portal" on the information bar at the top to navigate to the University Portal.
- On the portal, click on "Start Application" under the JUPEB menu.
- Pay the non-refundable application fee of Fifteen Thousand Naira (₦15,000) and complete the initial registration.
- After successful payment, return to the Portal.
- Click on the "Application" menu and select "Continue Application" under the JUPEB menu.
- Fill out and print the application form.
- Submit the printed form alongside photocopies of your credentials (O'Level result, Indigene certificate, Birth certificate / Declaration of age, NIN card), two (2) recent passport photographs, and payment receipt to the JUPEB Office, Main Campus.
CLOSING DATE: Applications close in November 2026.
