Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the preliminary Vocational and Technical Studies programme of the Benue State University for the 2023/2024 academic session. Beginning from Friday 1st September, 2023.
The preliminary Vocational and Technical Studies programme offers you the admission opportunity into the following programmes:
(ii) B.Sc. (Ed) Technology Education with specialization options in:
(iii) B.Sc. (Ed) Home Economics
(iv) B.Sc. (Ed) Computer Science
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The following are general entry requirements:
Candidates are required to possess a minimum of four (4) credits including English Language in SSCE, GCE, NABTEB, (NTC or NBC), C & G I or II, Federal Craft Training Certificate, TCII or any other equivalent qualifications as may be approved by the University.
Four (4) ‘O’ Level credits including English Language and any three (3) of Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, marketing, Commerce, ICT or any business/vocational subject.
Four (4) ‘O’ Level credits including English Language and any three (3) of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, ICT or NTC subjects.
Four (4) ‘O’ credits that must include English Language, any three (3) relevant subjects from Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Food Science & Nutrition and Home Economics.
Four (4) ‘O’ credits including English Language and any other three (3) of Mathematics, Technical Drawing, Physics, Chemistry, ICT or NTC subjects.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Applications are available only on the online platform. Interested Candidates are to visit the Benue State University portal (https://portal.bsum.edu.ng), under applications, click on "Pre-Voc & Tech" and complete the pre-registration information and submit. Once submitted, an application number will be generated, print a copy of the pre-registration form. Applicants will then proceed to the bank with the printed copy of the pre-registration form and pay a non-refundable application fee of five thousand (5,000) naira only using the generated application number.
After payment, applicants would be expected to re-visit the Benue State University portal under application and click on Preliminary Vocational and Technical Studies to complete the application form and submit. Applicants should print a copy of the completed form, attach all relevant photocopies of credentials (Payment receipt, WASSCE and/or NECO Result(s), Local Government Certificate of Origin, Birth Certificate, 3 passport photographs) then submit to the Preliminary Vocational and Technical Studies office.
