📋 9. Entry Qualifications
To qualify for admission, candidates must meet general and specific requirements for each programme.
(1) General Entry Requirements:
- Passes in at least two major subjects in NCE with SSCE O'Level credits or equivalents in three other subjects. At least two passes at IJMB, or GCE A/Level with SSCE/GCE O/Level credits or equivalent in three other subjects.
- A Credit in English is required for all courses.
- A pass in Mathematics is required for all courses except where otherwise specified.
- Candidates with Diploma certificates from recognized institutions with relevant five O/Level subjects shall be considered for admission.
(2) Specific Requirements:
- B.A. (Ed.) English — At least a pass in Literature is required.
- For Science based courses i.e., B.Sc. (Ed) Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics, a credit in Mathematics is required.
- B.Sc. (Ed) Economics and Geography require a credit in Mathematics.
- For B.Sc. (Ed) Technology, Federal Craft Training Certificate may be considered alongside a good result in the Technology Areas at City and Guilds or WAEC Technical Certificate Examination for candidates with outstanding grades in the Federal Craft Training Certificate Examination. Two passes in relevant subjects at Advanced level with ASC/C&G/GCE/SSCE/NTC/O'Level credit passes in three other subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Technical Drawing and any other two of the Technological subjects.
Note: Relevant years of teaching experience shall be an added advantage for admission into all courses.
(3) Duration: Five Long Vocations
📄 (4) Method of Application
Application for admission into the 2025/2026 Contact Session is through JAMB. Candidates are to first proceed to the JAMB office to obtain the JAMB admission form for sandwich. They are then to proceed to the Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University Website bsum.edu.ng.
At the top right side of the website, click on "Portal" on the listed menu to navigate to the University portal. Under applications on the portal section, click on "Start Application". Make payment of processing fee of ₦10,000.00 (Ten Thousand Naira) and complete the application.
After successful payment, return to portal.bsum.edu.ng. Click on the "Admission" menu and select "Continue Application SANDWICH". Fill out and print the application form.
Submit the printed application form alongside photocopies of your credentials (A'Level/O'Level result, indigene certificate, birth/declaration of age certificate, two (2) recent passports and payment receipts) to the Coordinator, Sandwich Programme.
